Youth Protection Training

posted Jan 4, 2017, 12:16 PM by Committee Members
Youth Protection Training is required of all registered adult leaders in the troop. Training is good for 2 years before it must be retaken.

Troop 246 highly recommends that all parents take the training as well to become familiar with the rules that the Boy Scouts of America have created to ensure the safety of your scout. Scout training takes place once each year and is mandatory.

All adults wishing to attend a camping event will be required to have a current Youth Protection Training certificate whether they are registered or not. Training is free and can be taken online by creating a My Scouting account at My.Scouting.

Adult leaders, please check your training. Anyone who took the course before 1/1/2015 is required to retake the course and submit a current certificate.
