Hi to all,

Here are a few items that just cannot wait until the next newsletter for your attention!

Please read on.

 

Camp registration for summer camp 2009 has begun. All medical forms have been distributed into the boys' mailboxes. Please have your son pick them up and start to get them squared away for camp NOW!! If your son has a physical coming up, take the forms to the doctor with you. If your son has already had his physical, send the forms in and have them completed now. Mrs. Robak will be checking all forms for completion so the earlier we hand them in, the better it is for her!!

 

Early bird registration must be completed and turned in no later than May 1 to take advantage of the reduced fee of $270. After May 1, the fee goes up to $325 for the week. We will go to camp the week of July 19-25, 2009. Any adult leaders/ parent volunteers planning to go to camp, please make your intentions known to Mrs. Clark or Mrs. Colvin so we can prepare for the week.

 

If your son plans to go to summer camp, please email his intention to Mrs. Clark or Mrs. Colvin ASAP. This is so we can reserve a site large enough to accommodate all Troop 246 scouts together. Then please follow through with your completed registration and payment before the May 1 deadline.

Parent Brainstorming Session is scheduled for March 30 during the scout meeting. Please plan to meet with us and let us know what you might have to offer Troop 246. Whether you are a craftsman, a cook or a fly fisherman, we'd like to know. Maybe you could offer the boys a tour of your jobsite and they could do a little career exploration.  Whatever you may have to offer, let us know!!

Merit Badge work is coming up! Reminder to scouts that they must have a signed blue card before they can begin work on any merit badge. Give Mr. Murphy a call to secure your blue card!!
